FIG SWEET STUFFED WITH NUTS

INGREDIENTS
1/2 kg dried figs
1/2 cup ground walnuts
1/2 cup ground hazelnuts
1/4 cup castor sugar
1/2 cup clotted cream

PROCESSING METHOD
– Cut off the stalks of the figs and with your finger open up the central cavity.
– Fill each fig with some of the ground nuts and sugar mixed together.
– Arrange them in a buttered oven tray.
– Pour 2 cups of water over them and simmer for a few minutes, basting with juice.
– Bake them for 3 minutes in medium heated oven.
– Leave to cool.
– Serve with clotted cream.
